Craig is a perfectionist. He takes a great deal of pride in the quality of his work and shares with his client that sense of pride in the finished product. We found this very reassuring in his approach to our house.

We first met Craig in 2015 when he came to discuss the renovation of our inner city terrace. The house has a heritage overlay which restricts what can be done to the building however the front section was close to 100 years old and needed some repair and refurbishment including a new roof and front veranda. We also wanted a new kitchen and bathroom, more light in the centre of the house, rear car access and insulation and double glazing throughout.

From the start we were impressed by Craig’s professionalism and excellent communication style. He called us regularly to discuss progress and options and was always available when we needed to contact him. He engaged with our neighbours where necessary and all have said that Craig and his team were very pleasant to deal with. Craig only contracted first class tradespeople and we met with all of them over the course of the work. Everyone was professional and happy to discuss their work and our options.

Throughout the renovation Craig worked cooperatively with our daughter who was also our architect. She was so impressed with Craig’s work that she also engaged him for her own renovations. We could not be happier with our new home. It is all that we hoped for and more. We are very happy to recommend Craig as a first class builder.

Craig not only displayed superior technical craftsman skills but also the care and respect for the Project as of it were his own.

My wife Suzie and I first engaged Craig Forsyth when we embarked upon significant renovations of our family home in Princes Hill.

We undertook a process of interviewing multiple builders for the Project. We were keen to build a rapport that could lead to a solid working relationship with the individuals involved. We first met Craig in 2012, he reviewed our plans with the objective of providing a detailed quotation for the work. We realized early on that Craig’s personality, candid openness, friendly nature and commitment to the task would be the right investment to be made.

We subsequently engaged Craig and his team him to conduct major renovation work to our property at 48 Arnold St Princes Hill. Craig not only displayed superior technical craftsman skills but also the care and respect for the Project as of it were his own. Suzie and I often made site visits sometimes unannounced only to find the property was clean neat and tidy. He worked with the neighbors in a respectful manner whilst maintaining the integrity of the build and the surroundings of the community.

It was a pleasure working with Craig as he made us feel comfortable and had fantastic communication skills that were invaluable during a detailed build such as ours, we found his attention to detail faultless and he always made the extra effort to ensure the quality of his own workman ship as well as others.

We have continued to stay in communication with Craig and have no hesitations in referring him to friends looking to embark on a building project, It has been a pleasure working with Craig and also getting to know him on a personal level

Craig Forsyth worked on my $450k building project on an inner urban Federation Brick terrace house in mid 2011, finishing the job in early 2012, beautifully finished and well on time.

Craig came highly recommended to me by friends, who were delighted with the work he had done on their home, which was also a heritage building.  Craig was involved with my project since 2008, and he was involved from pre-purchase inspection of this very old but still liveable home, through the various repair jobs that were inevitable in a renovated older house over the years, all the way through to the decision to renovate.

I can therefore say that I have worked with Craig for a period of 4 years. I can sincerely recommend him on the following basis:

Craig is a skilled carpenter in his own right. His finish and attention to detail is second to none. This was important, as this project required an almost complete rebuild, but with respect to the Federation skirting’s, architraves, doors, and windows etc. Also, the fitting of cabinetry and wardrobes was impeccable

Craig has a great team of tradesmen, plumbers, painters, electricians, solid plasterers and other specialists. He also recruits additional trades for the job as needed. With these people, I found his organisation brilliant, efficient and the prices he negotiated for me were good, and the quality excellent. He really pulls the project together.

When things did not go as planned, Craig is able to help navigate through the problems.  We had plenty of unforeseen events and issues arising with the old building and neighbours taking exception to five months of construction going on next door. Craig handled all this with great patience and endurance, working through each issue methodically to a successful conclusion.

Craig is knowledgeable about options and methods to achieve an outcome on an old building. He knows the regulations and works with the regulator effectively.

Craig has provided follow up service and been obliging and helpful on an ongoing basis. He is very fair and considerate and is a great building professional with whom to work. I recommend him highly.

His attention to detail is faultless and when working with our architect, they made a harmonious team.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Craig Forsyth of ForsythBuild

Craig project managed and built our house in Mary Street Richmond. From day one showed good judgment and a very mature outlook with a logical and practical approach to problem solving, which as we know in building is invaluable. His attention to detail is faultless and when working with our architect, they made a harmonious team.

He was always punctual and more than happy to put in extra effort to get the job done. His organization skills made communication with himself and the contractors a breeze.

For over two years now it has been our pleasure to get to know Craig on a personal level and look forward to our growing friendship for years to come.

We would have no hesitation in recommending that Craig be your builder of choice. He certainly is ours now and please feel free to call me to verify any queries you might have.

Very rarely do you find a tradesperson that still understands the value of not only the time and money that you invest in renovating – but also the emotional commitment that you invest when you build. Craig not only understands this, but helps guide you on the journey. The standard of workmanship that Craig and his crew put into mishfit studio is really only truly apparent now, many months down the track when things are standing up to not only the elements, but the test of time. His thought and consulting process allowed us to make the wisest decisions that we are really appreciating now. I love my studio, I love working there, I love that it is the best that I could afford and I am 100% grateful for Craig making this the least stressful journey that it could possibly have been. ForsythBuild cannot be faulted on their quality of service or the integrity with which they deliver. They were completely understanding of budgeting constraints and aimed to make it the best value for money.

It gives me pleasure to recommend Craig for anyone wanting high quality work with low stress.

Craig Forsyth was the builder for the building and fit out of two bathrooms in our federation home. This involved the demolition of one large bathroom which was redesigned into an ensuit and main bathroom.”

At all times we found Craig to be well planned and organized, reliable, patient and considerate. He is the type of person you are most happy to invite into your home and to have around while your family gets on with living in the same building. We found him to have excellent attention to detail and he made special effort to meet our particular needs.

It gives me pleasure to recommend Craig for anyone wanting high quality work with low stress.

This is a true character reference of Craig Forsyth.
